See Our AnswersWhat is included in Trademark Inn US Trademark Registration services?
Our US Trademark Registration service covers a full search, filing, monitoring of your application status, and updates throughout the process.
How long does US Trademark Registration take?
Timelines are set by the USPTO. An examining attorney usually reviews a new application several months after filing, and a straightforward application can take around a year or more to reach registration. Office actions or oppositions can extend this, which is why accurate filing matters.
When should I file for Trademark Renewal?
A U.S. registration needs a Declaration of Use (Section 8) between the 5th and 6th year after registration, then a combined renewal (Sections 8 & 9) between the 9th and 10th year, and every 10 years after that. We track these dates and remind you well in advance. See our Trademark Renewal service.
What happens if I miss my Trademark Renewal deadline?
The USPTO allows a 6-month grace period after each deadline, with an extra fee. If nothing is filed by the end of the grace period, the registration is cancelled and you would need to file a new application to protect the mark again.
What does your Copyright Registration service cover?
We confirm your work qualifies for protection, pick the correct category, prepare and file the application and deposit with the U.S. Copyright Office, and track it until your certificate is issued. See Copyright Registration.
How does Amazon Brand Registry work and why do I need it?
Amazon Brand Registry lets trademark owners enroll their brand with Amazon. Once enrolled you get more control over your product listings, tools to find and report counterfeits or infringing sellers, and access to features like enhanced brand content.
Can Trademark Inn help me get into Amazon Brand Registry if I do not have a registered trademark?
Yes. Amazon accepts pending trademark applications in many marketplaces, so we can file your trademark and use the application serial number to start your Amazon Brand Registry enrollment.
How does Trademark Monitoring help protect my brand?
Monitoring watches new trademark filings and uses that are similar to yours. When a potential conflict appears, you are alerted early enough to oppose the filing or take action before it becomes a costly dispute.
How often is Trademark Monitoring performed?
Monitoring runs on an ongoing basis. New filings are reviewed as they are published, and you receive alerts for anything that may conflict with your mark along with regular summary reports.
What is included in your Comprehensive Trademark Search service?
We search federal and state trademark databases, common-law business uses, domain names and online sources for identical or similar marks, then give you a report on the risks we find. See Comprehensive Trademark Search.
Do I need a Comprehensive Trademark Search before filing?
It is not legally required, but it is strongly recommended. A search spots conflicting marks before you pay filing fees, which lowers the risk of refusal, opposition or having to rebrand later.
When should I consider Trademark Re filing?
Consider refiling when your application was abandoned and can no longer be revived, or when a registration was cancelled after a missed deadline. A new application restores your path to protection.
Can Trademark Inn help improve my chances of approval during Trademark Re filing?
Yes. We review why the earlier application failed, fix issues such as the goods and services description or specimens, and prepare a stronger new filing. See Abandoned Trademark Re-Filing.
